Quite simply, this is a very simple, light-hearted website I have put together to act as a resource for all things outdoors that interest me. I certainly do not pitch myself as any form of authority or ultimate athlete in the outdoor space! I’ve noted to myself on most hikes that “my ambition outweighs my ability by a fair stretch”. Most of what you read will be from my own experiences, views and opinions, and I am always willing to learn more, research more and be corrected if needed.

Therefore I encourage you to take that on board whilst rattling through a few poorly written blog articles, laugh at my misfortune and poor attempts at map reading, and ill thought out reviews.

The outdoors is a space that has always helped me relax and refresh my soul when the world seems to be getting a bit heavy around me. I enjoy time away with family, friends and even alone. Always trying to seek out my version of type 2 fun, and ensure there are plenty of stories I can tell my Children and future Grandchildren.

This is only a bit of fun to get a small hit of dopamine when I am unable to feel the rain lashing down on me in the Lake District, or when my schedule simply does not allow for the 4 hour drive to Snowdonia. And so, if this website stops achieving that, I’ll just stop it and move on.

Until then, I hope you get to enjoy some of the content. I’m not going for any awards, but if a few of you take a couple of minutes to enjoy what’s here, then that’s alright with me.
